We really enjoyed staying here, it's beautiful grand old and well priced hotel with genuinely helpful staff at check-out. The property was in a prime and best possible location, to local entertainments. A great selection of food for breakfast, which was tasty to satisfy everyone.

very authentic hotel situated in the downtown of HCMC. Stayed only one night and can not complain. I recommend this hotel to the ones who wants to see around in the downtown, shop and eat and wants to have fun for night life HCMC

in the morning woke me up with construction noise/sound. I hoep will finish soon.

Location was good and convenient to the center of District 1. Easy to walk to the recommended spots.

Not quite retro, not classic and certainly not modern. Has potential but needs a remodel. Vietnamese restaurant in hotel not particularly good.

great atmosphere

The Colonial Beautiful Double or Twin Room was clean and quiet. The pool was busy, but the atmosphere at the Breeze Sky Bar was fantastic with live music!

We spent 7 nights at this historically rich hotel and loved the spacious room with an enormous bathroom. The breakfast spread was incredible, showcasing so many delicious options! Overall, I'd gladly return here for the experience.

Historic hotel Great breakfast

-Dirt and dust in room -No feelings of welcome sine every little thing cost a fortune eg ordered piece of bread for salad and was charged 6 USD extra. -lobby was a building site -noise from street -although changed arrival to one Day later and informed hotel a week in advance they still charged us full price. -hotel related guide sent us to tourist trap!

Everything was perfect, met standards, and the staff were extremely friendly and efficient people at check-out. The hotel was in a very central setting near the centre. Food was high quality and tasty, thoroughly enjoyed it.
